    Now the Italian motorcycle manufacturer is ready to bring in more new motor sport in Indonesia, Ducati 848 EVO that will be present at the end of 2011.Presiden Director Ducati Indonesia, August S Nugroho states Ducati sport bikes is the fastest bike, and currently has orders for 848 EVO many interested.

    EVO 848 is able to produce power output of 140 bhp at 10,500 rpm with peak torque to 98 Nm at 9750 rpm.

    Motor was created with powerful force results from the new Testastretta technology, the weight of the bike to reach 168 kg, with a system of Brembo Monobloc brakes, twin silencers under the seat, single-sided swingarm, Trellis frame, bodywork, and steering damper.

Honda CBR Series Variation Design








    Earlier this week, Honda made an announcement that they will be withdrawing factory support from AMA Road Racing. This comes as a shock after not more than a week ago they made a statement that they were not planning to pull support from other motorsports after announcing they were dropping Formula 1 support. In their press release, Honda stated:

    "The primary factor contributing to this decision is the current global economic situation and its impact on Honda. This was an extremely difficult decision to make as the racing spirit reaches to the very core of Honda. While it is unfortunate that the current economic conditions led us to take this action, rest assured that Honda¹s deep-seated passion for racing has not been, and will never be, diminished."

    Honda CBR models are a series of sport bikes several of which (400RR, 600RR, 900RR, 929RR, 954RR and 1000RR) are marketed as race replicas, having the suffix RR after the engine size designation. With the exception of the single cylinder CBR125 and CBR150, all CBR motorbikes have inline engines (as compared to the V-twins in the VT, VTR and VF/VFR series). Less sporting models with inline engines make up the CB Series.

    He competed in his first race was when he was four years old, in an under-nine years old race at the Mike Hatcher's dirt racing track on the Gold Coast of Australia. Between his very first race win at the age of nine and the age of fourteen, Stoner won 41 dirt and long track titles and 70 state titles.

    One feat he achieved that illustrates his passion and "need" for racing was at age twelve. Over one weekend he raced in 5 different categories in all 7 rounds of each capacity. A weekend consisting of 35 different races... Not only did he compete in all these categories and different engine capacities, the young Casey Stoner went on to win 32 out of the 35 races. There were five Australian titles to be won that weekend, Stoner won all 5.

    The legal age to enter into road races in Australia is 16. At the age of 14 years, Stoner and his parents agreed he was ready to move up onto road racing so they packed up and moved to England – where the legal age for road racing is 14.

    From 2000 to 2002, he contested the national 125cc GP championships in Britain and Spain, winning the English 125cc Aprilia Championship in 2000, before moving fulltime to the 250cc GP World Championships in 2002. His season on an Aprilia under the guidance of Lucio Cecchinello was turbulent, with no podium places from 15 race starts. At the test held immediately following the Valencia round, Stoner was once again fastest while testing the new 2010 version of the Desmosedici. However, Rossi was fastest in five of the six pre-season tests.

    Stoner qualified on pole for the season opener in Qatar, and was leading the race when he crashed out, later acknowledging that this was his own mistake. He also crashed out of round 3 at Le Mans, this time attributing the crash to the front of the bike unloading when not running at maximum pace. His first podium of the year came at Assen, despite struggling with arm pump late in the race. For 2011 Stoner will join Honda Racing Corporation after four years at Ducati Corse, where he will be replaced by Valentino Rossi.

YZF-R15 One Make Race Championship – Season 2010 inches closer to culmination


    Chennai, December 2nd, 2010: After successfully zooming through four rounds of R15 One Make Race Championship, India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. is set to organize the fifth & final round of the championship. The final round of 5 leg championship, organized as part of SIDVIN-FMSCI National Motorcycle Racing Championship 2010, will be held on 4th and 5th December at Madras Motor Race Track in Sriperumbudur. This year, Yamaha R15 One Make Race Championship was open to participation from both Yamaha and Non-Yamaha customers.
    Riding on Yamaha’s Super Sports YZF-R15, the contestants experienced the breathtaking acceleration of the bikes on a race circuit. Loaded with true Yamaha DNA – Performance, Innovation & Design, YZF-R15 provided complete racing experience to the biking enthusiasts and hands on feel of its riding, cornering and braking abilities. Yamaha made their experience more exciting by mounting Daytona Racing kits in the bikes. The racing kit includes Racing Exhaust system, Racing ECU (Engine Control Unit), High Lift Cam Shaft and Petal shaped large Disc. These kits are developed using valuable experience gained from MotoGP racing and are designed exclusively for racing purposes in a closed circuit.
    Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Yutaka Terada, Director – Sales & Marketing, India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. said, “All the four rounds of Yamaha R15 One Make Race Championship have been very exciting. We are very happy with the level of participation and responses from our customers. Our mission is to revolutionize the biking culture in India by giving Indian youth an exposure of international level racing competition and we commit to continue to organize more such racing events in the future.”
    Two riders (One from each Class: NOVICE & EXPERT) will be given a chance to participate in the “YAMAHA ASEAN CUP RACE” to be held in Malaysia later this month. The riders can further get a chance to compete in “ASIA ROAD RACE CHAMPIONSHIP RACE 600cc Class” based on their performance in Yamaha ASEAN Cup Race-2010. Rider selected based on his results in the ASIA ROAD RACE CHAMPIONSHIP RACE 600cc Class can make his Life Time Dream come true as he could get a chance to participate in the Grand Prix.
    The technology in YZF-R15 has percolated from YZF-R1 (Deltabox frame/ Fuel Injection/ 6 speed gearbox/ styling/ Liquid Cooled 4V engine). Just like R1, it is light weight, has power on demand, besides having centralized mass, stopping power, aerodynamics, ergonomics and stability/rigidity. It also has the controllability and maneuverability to maximize riding/ cornering/ braking performance.

    If reports from news doing rounds are to believed, the Honda CBR150R will be reaching the Indian markets sooner than the Honda CBR250R. The bike is expected to be ready for release by January 2011.
    In India, the Honda CBR150R is all set to compete with the Yamaha YZF R15. Now, as per design, Honda CBR150R boasts of 20ps power capacity as compared to the 17ps delivered by Yamaha YZF R15. It is still the practical run that will decide if 20ps is actually possible.
    The CBR150R boasts of wider tires as compared to the R15. The R15′s rear tire has a size of 100/80-17 which surprisingly is the size of the front tire of CBR150R. The size of the CBR 150R’ rear tire is 130/70-17, the same size as the Kawasaki Ninja 250R.
    On the mileage part, Honda CBR150R is expected to give a mileage of 35kmpl, which is far less than what the R15 delivers. As per first
    hand users of R15, the typical mileage it gives on Indian roads is around 40kmpl.
    The CBR150R is expected to have better pickup if we are to go by the awesome technical specifications. The pricing is said to be
    competitive and a little less than the lakh price tag of R15 just to keep the sports bike lovers interested.
